According to the official account of its origin, there was once a tectonic depression here along which a glacier passed. In its path was a large rock, which the glacier "worked on" for so long that in the end the present island remained.

In the afternoon — a walk around the lake if you did not do the full circuit on the first day, or water activities on the lake (SUP/boat, weather permitting). A second viewpoint at a more relaxed pace — or a repeat of Ojstrica for a different light and weather.
Practical tips
When to go. For photos and a quiet walk, the best scenario is early morning, when there are fewer people at the viewpoints and on the shore. In high season, plan the key spots (the island, Vintgar) for the first half of the day.
What to take. Comfortable shoes and a light windbreaker — the weather in the Alpine region changes quickly.
